Description: 1164 Dundas Street East. Built in 1949 as Dixie Arena Gardens by citizens of the community of Dixie, among whom were Leslie and Howard Pallett, Lindsay Death, James McCarthy, Victor Stanfield, and Wilfred Goddard. It was here that minor hockey in Mississauga got its start and it served as the home of the Dixie Beehives. The arena was demolished in 1996. Photograph taken 1982. |
