The main entrance to the structure was to the north with an earthen ramp built to the entrance. Noted additions included a drive shed of vertical wood in board and batten with a gable roof extended to salt box where the east roof line had been extended with the addition. Tin shingles were used on the roof of the addition. The barn was part of the Gooderham Estate and with it was designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act but it was demolished in 2001.
