Description: This large oak tree was photographed near the site where the Mississauga Indians had their last point of residence in Mississauga. Large oak trees like this one are still part of the landscape of Mississauga from Benares to Hurontario Road on both sides of the QEW to Lake Ontario. Mazo de la Roche used such oaks in the title of one of her books, The White Oaks of Jalna.
