Description: 1051 Old Derry Road. Conc 3 WHS, pt. Lot 11 Eż. The Brick Hotel was also known as the Commercial Hotel. It was built by Matthew Laidlaw in 1852, and was one of the first commercial hotels in Meadowvale. It is a single-detached, two-and-a-half storey structure, with a foundation of Credit valley stone. Originally the building had a stacked open verandah which ran the length of the front facade, but this was removed, probably before 1900. Designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and located within the Meadowvale Heritage Conservation District.
