Description: 1595-1597 Eglinton Avenue West. Plan 301, lots 10 and 11. Built by the Barber Brothers of the Toronto Woollen Mills, Streetsville, to accommodate their workers. They are double houses, one and a half storeys in height, to which alterations have been made. Heritage listed. NOTE: The property was designated and went throughout the process of a request for demolition, thereby removing the designation by-law and a note from Council that it would not redesignate while under the same owner (Deveny). The buildings were demolished in 1990. Record updated January 2013.
