Description: 1597-1595 Eglinton Avenue West. Plan 301, Lots 10 and 11. Built by the Barber Brothers of the Toronto Woollen Mills, Streetsville, to accommodate their workers. They are double houses, one-and-a-half storeys in height, to which alterations have been made. Heritage listed. NOTE: The property was designated and went through the process of a request for demolition, thereby removing the designation by-law and a note from Council that it would not redesignate while under the same owner (Deveny). The buildings were demolished in 1990. This photo is of the rear addition undergoing demolition. Record updated January 2013.
