Description: 25 Main Street. Plan STR, 4, Lot 2. This early Loyalist style house was originally built in the 1830s as the Ballinger Inn. It may have been Richard Harris's gunsmith shop. It later became the home and shoemaking establishment of Richard Cuthbert. In 1850 Richard Cuthbert operated his shoemaker's shop with three employees. The building is listed on the Heritage Register. This 1989 photo shows the north entrance.
