Description: 26 Bay Street. Plan 300W SW pt. Lot 2. This one-and-a-half storey frame structure has a covered front porch that has been included into the massing of the house interior. The medium-pitch gable roof is constructed with asphalt shingle. The entry is off to one side, which may have been an alteration to the original, more typical centre entrance. The front yard has a white picket fence to define the property. During Elizabeth Wilcox's ownership of Wilcox Inn property, the property was subdivided and this early twentieth century bungalow was built on the new lot. The date of construction is most likely between 1923 and 1928. The frame house was first illustrated on the 1928 fire insurance plan. The house is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and is located within the Old Port Credit Village Heritage Conservation District.
