Description: 27 Bay Street. Plan 300W pt. Lot 3, 4. This two storey Edwardian-style brick residence has an open porch across the front facade supported by brick pillars. The medium-pitch gable roof is made with asphalt shingle. The windows are simple one-over-one pattern. The house rests comfortably between a brick home to the west and a low-rise apartment to the east. Smooth unadorned brick, a symmetrical arrangement of fenestration and a verandah supported by Classical pillars characterize this well-preserved house of the Edwardian era. Elizabeth Wilcox sold the lot in 1911 to Robert S. Corey, a fisherman, for $300. The same property sold for $6,000 in 1923. The brick-veneer house is first illustrated on the 1928 fire insurance plan. The house is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and is located within the Old Port Credit Village Heritage Conservation District.
