Description: 43 Mississauga Road South. Plan 300 W, pt. Lots 9, 10. At the time this photo was taken in 1980 this one storey frame structure was finished in brick veneer, as shown when first illustrated on the 1928 fire insurance plan. The house has undergone renovation and is now finished in horizontal siding. There is a medium-pitch roof and the house as of 2003 has a covered front porch which extends from the three bay facade supported by wood columns. As the house rests near the centre of the lot it provides a very open look from the adjacent properties. In 1919, Emily Jane Burrows purchased the property from Mark Blower, Sr. Its southern elevation is shown on a 1950 photograph in Al Yarnell's history of Texaco in Port Credit. The house is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and is located within the Old Port Credit Village Heritage Conservation District.
