Description: 34 Peter Street South. Plan 300W pt Lot 9. The one-and-a-half storey frame structure has horizontal siding and an enclosed front porch that provides for a five bay facade. Concrete steps lead to an open small porch. A single dormer has paired windows. This frame cottage, which bears some similarities to 31 Mississauga Road South, was probably built by carpenter John Peter Burns sometime after 1910 and before his death in 1927. The use of the premises by his widow, Sarah Ellen, is written into a 1927 agreement; and the house is first illustrated on the 1928 fire insurance plan. The property is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and is located within the Old Port Credit Village Heritage Conservation District.
