Description: 43 Sledman Street. Plan TOR 4, pt. Lot 80-82. This is a one-and-one-half storey red and buff brick structure with a stone foundation. The building has a gable roof with a peak dormer and asphalt shingles as well as a southeast asymmetrical two bay facade. Noted features of the structure include buff brick quoinage, buff brick radiating and horizontal window framing voussoirs, bay windows on the southeast and northeast facades, mansard bell curve type roof, a front porch on the southeast facade with heavy wooden soffit detailing, scrolled brackets under porch and bay window cornices, detailed vergeboard on the main gable, extensive decorative woodwork on the northeast bay window, all windows arched and with wooden sills and a shed roofed clapboard addition off the rear (northwest) fašade. This photo shows the vergeboard on the front gable. The building is listed on the Heritage Register. Description as of December 2010.
