Microchips are a form of identification - but they're not foolproof! In fact, they
often fail.
A microchip is a glass capsule about the size of a grain of rice that is inserted under the
pet's skin between the shoulder blades. When scanned, a code is retrieved which can be
used to trace the pet's licence number. The trouble is, often the information contained
on the microchip isn't currrent, and with many different scanners if a pet is not licensed,
there is no way to track down the owner. Unlike veterinary tags, or some microchips, your
MY PET Licence can be traced 24-hours-a-day to ensure your pet can be safely returned
home!
