Tours and Workshops at the Mississauga Central Library







Sign your group up for a tour of the Mississauga Central Library! Special tours & workshops for middle school class groups and secondary school class groups.

Tours of the Mississauga Central Library, one of the busiest central libraries in Canada, are offered regularly. If your organization, school class or business would like a tour of the Mississauga Central Library and its many resources, email Library.Tours@mississauga.ca or phone 905-615-3500.


Middle School Workshops and Tours
Attention Educators and Middle School Students! Class groups are invited to the Mississauga Central Library for a workshop and tour to support the development of research skills, and an understanding of plagiarism and citation. The 45 minute librarian lead workshop can be done in conjunction with a school assignment. A tour of the Central Library follows.

Mississauga Library System Offers Secondary Students Workshops and Tours for Class Groups

Bring your secondary students to the Mississauga Central Library! The librarians and staff invite you and your students to the Central Library, 301 Burnhamthorpe Road West. The Library offers workshops and tours of the Library tailored to meet the needs of your group, including

  • Short Orientation Presentation For Staff & Students:
    Mississauga Library System: What's in it for you AND your students

Presentations include PowerPoint and live to web demonstrations and library instruction on the library website, catalogue and research databases.

Library Cards can be prearranged for school class groups. Teachers are invited to use this Library Visit Letter to organize their class visit.

Friends of the Library supports free bussing for class groups from non profit or publicly funded schools, visiting the library.
