Description: C. H. Gill's store was originally located at the southwest corner of Second Line (now Tomken Road) and Dundas Street. Charles Gill operated it as the General Store and Post Office from 1883 to 1906 when he bought the Atlantic Hotel across the street from the Kennedy family. Gill became postmaster in August 1890 and remained in that post until his death in 1922. The original photograph is in the William Perkins Bull Collection at the Region of Peel Archives.
