Description: 857 Dundas Street East. Conc 1 NDS, pt. Lot 9. These broken columns were part of the front portico of a large two-storey house which was formerly located at this site. The building was faced with sandstone, and the pillars were molded from concrete. They supported a sunroom which extended from the second storey and which was faced with cedar shingles. The interior had maple flooring and there was a metal roof. The house had two basements. It was demolished in the late 1980s, sometime before 1990. There is also a barn on the property and all that remains otherwise are the pillars. Description as of February 2011.
