Description: Catherine "Caye" Killaby served as a councillor for Ward 3, Town of Mississauga and for Ward 4, City of Mississauga. She was first elected to Council in 1967 and served on the Planning Board, the industrial, finance and housing committees, as well as Chair of the Library Board. According to the Mississauga Times of November 11, 1970, she was the first woman to be elected to the executive of the towns and villages section of the Ontario Municipal Association. In 1970 Caye Killaby ran against Chic Murray for Reeve and lost to him, losing her Ward 3 seat as a result. She was returned to Council as the Ward 4 representative in 1974 when Mississauga became a city. Description as of June 2019.
