Description: 381 Winston Churchill Blvd. Conc 3 SDS, pt. Lot 35. A 60 acre scenic property, known as the "Gold Medal" Farm because it won a contest at the turn of the century for the best-looking large farm in Peel County. There is a two storey field stone foundation with red brick walls and a gable roof, which previously had two verandahs that were removed in 1978. There was also a stone house on the property. For many years the farm was owned by the Robertson family who built the 14 room house. The Robertsons planted a large apple orchard and were one of the earliest commercial growers of strawberries in the district. The property was sold to the Abbs family and farmed by them until 1970 when it was bought by Ontario Hydro. The property was designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act in 2001.
