Description: Large oak trees are part of the Mississauga landscape from Benares to Hurontario Road on both sides of the QEW to Lake Ontario. The Whiteoaks area of Clarkson takes its name from the fictional Whiteoaks family created by Mazo de la Roche in her "Jalna" novels. It is thought that the books were inspired in part by Benares and its surroundings. Description as of September 2018.
