Description: An aerial view of the Mississauga shoreline looking east from Joshua's Creek. Note the pier stretching out from the St. Lawrence Cement Company. For their report for the Credit Valley Conservation Authority on the Mississauga Waterfront Crysler & Lathem took photographs of the Lake Ontario shoreline from Joshua's Creek, west of Winston Churchill Drive, to Marie Curtis Park in Etobicoke. Joshua's Creek lies west of the Mississauga-Oakville border. The creek's headwaters are near Lower Baseline Road between Trafalgar Road and Ninth Line, and the creek discharges into Lake Ontario just east of the Mississauga-Oakville border. The area was named after one of the original settlers, Joshua Leach, who settled there in 1822.
