Description: 1123 Clarkson Road North, Conc 2 SDS, pt. Lot 28. This is a two-and-one-half storey stucco sided structure. Alex Durie opened his store in 1908. The building also housed Clarkson's first library which began in 1919, on the second floor. The building became a basket factory in 1932 and then was turned into apartments in 1941. Formerly listed on the Heritage Register the building was delisted and a demolition permit granted for future development. Description updated July 2019.
