Description: 2121 Phedora Drive. Conc 2 SDS, pt. Lot 31. This was a frame farmhouse, probably built about 1872, and located on a 17 acre property. The house had been scheduled for demolition to make way for a new Catholic secondary school when it was destroyed by fire (probably arson) in February 1992. The site is presently occupied by Iona Catholic Secondary School (now located at 2170 South Sheridan Way) which was named after the religious community of Iona, a tiny island off the coast of the Isle of Mull. The community had been founded in 563 by St. Columba. The Utter-Hawkins farmhouse had been previously listed on the Heritage Register.
