Registered group benefits and resources

Registered community groups receive exclusive access to City benefits and resources. Registered groups can also access free resources, webinars and workshops throughout the year.

Discounted facility rental rate

Depending on which category your group belongs to, you may qualify for one free room rental for your Annual General Meeting each year and one free monthly booking for executive meetings. Facility rentals are subject to availability.

Your group can rent a City facility at a discounted rate using the facility rental or park permit request form online.

You can also visit the Customer Service Centre in person located inside the Paramount Fine Foods Centre at 5500 Rose Cherry Place.

Room rentals are subject to availability. Applicable rate based on your group’s category will apply.

Promotional mobile signs

To place a promotional sign next to a City road allowance, apply for a portable sign permit.

Discounted Special Event Vendor Licence

If you’re hosting an event and you’re bringing in vendors selling services or products, you’ll need to apply for a Special Event Licence.

Registered community groups get a special discounted rate for this licence.

Affiliate insurance

Eligible registered groups can apply for the City’s Affiliate Insurance Program, a third party commercial general liability policy. Regional status and developing status groups are not eligible to apply.

All registered groups can access the City’s designated insurance broker for a discounted Directors and Officers Liability Insurance Program. For more information, email risk.management@mississauga.ca.

Use of the Registered Group Civic Mark

The Registered Group Civic Mark can be added to your group’s promotional materials like brochures, posters or websites. This mark can only be used by approved Registered Groups in good-standing.

We’ll email the Registered Group Civic Mark to your organization’s contact as part of the approval process when you register or renew your group status. For more information, email community.group@mississauga.ca.

Throughout the year, Registered Groups can access resources, webinars and workshops for free that help support and strengthen their organization.
