Our libraries are always happy to get help from volunteers. You can help with book sales or join a Teen Advisory Group.

The first time you apply for a position, you’ll be asked to make a profile which you can use in the future to apply for other positions.

MiWay

The MiWay Student Ambassador Program is a fun and professional opportunity for students to represent and promote MiWay, while earning volunteer hours.

Applications for this program are accepted from April to May, and the program runs from September to May.

Individual volunteer opportunities

There are various volunteer opportunities for individuals with Parks, Forestry and Environment. From helping maintain the City’s natural areas, parks and garden beds and Museums to painting murals and caring for our trees, there’s a program for everyone.

We have outdoor activities suitable for schools, businesses, service organizations and community groups. Volunteer opportunities include tree planting events and stewarding the City’s parks, woodlands and natural areas.

Recreation and Culture

There are opportunities for volunteers in many of our Recreation and Culture programs and classes. Some of the things you can volunteer for are swimming and skating lessons, arts programs, camps, join a youth committee, help with program logistics and more!

Get involved with a local not-for-profit. There are numerous organizations in Mississauga that are in urgent need of volunteers to support important causes.
