This guide explains the process of applying for a building permit from the City of Mississauga for construction projects of residential use. These projects include the construction of, additions to and alterations of, single family dwellings, decks, sheds, gazebos, cabanas and other small buildings of residential use which are not more than 3 storeys in building height and not more than 600 square metres in building area.

Can I add information to my file once I have submitted a complete application?
Answer

No. Information cannot be added or revised once a ‘complete application’ has been submitted or during the time period prescribed by the regulation.
The application is processed and reviewed within the time period prescribed by the regulation. Application status report is generated to inform the applicant of all the reasons for the refusal of permit issuance, only then revised information can be added.
