This two-storey brick structure was originally the Bell family home, prior to 1964 when Deman Construction took it over for their business. Deman Construction was established in 1955 by Lee and Bas Deman. The company was incorporated in 1962, has remained a family company since then, and has conducted business from this site since 1964. In 1987 this building was demolished to make way for a neighbourhood plaza which includes not only Deman Construction but several other businesses.
