Description: Colonel T. L. Kennedy and his officers at the Cooksville Fair Grounds, 1914. According to William Perkins Bull, in his book, From Brock to Currie, T. L. Kennedy annually recruited a squadron of the The Governor General's Body Guard (later the Governor General's Horse Guards) in Peel. Apparently, during the First World War Kennedy set up a camp for unemployed men on the Fair Grounds at Cooksville, who were known as "Kennedy's Recruits".
