Description: Aerial view, taken in the 1970s, from the roof of the former Mississauga Central Library, 110 Dundas Street West. Confederation Parkway was originally known as Hook Avenue, which ran south from Dundas Street to Dunbar Avenue, after which the street was named Royal Windsor Way, but did not proceed very far south. It is shown this way on a 1968 map of Toronto Township. By 1970 the road ran from Dundas Street to the Queensway and was now called Confederation Parkway. Description as of March 2013.
