Cultural Access Pass Program (CAPP)
Cultural Access Pass

The Cultural Access Pass (CAP) is a welcome gift for Canada's newest citizens.  You are eligible for a  CAP if you can answer YES to all three of the following questions:

  1. Are you a Canadian Citizen?
  2. Did you receive your citizenship within the last 365 days?
  3. Are you 18 years of age or older?
If you are eligible, you can register for a CAP online at
https://www.icc-icc.ca/en/cap/register.php

Once you have registered online, your CAP is ready for pick-up at Malton Library, Meadowvale Library, and the Mississauga Central Library (on the Ground Floor at the Reader’s Den Information Desk during Library hours). There is no need to call ahead or make an appointment - your pass will be printed when you present the items listed below.

  1. A piece of photo ID with your birth date on it
  2. Your registration confirmation number (found on the registration confirmation page or the confirmation e-mail sent to you after you registered)
  3. Your Commemorative Document (the letter sized certificate with your name and date of citizenship given to you at the citizenship ceremony)

Pick-Up of Cultural Access Passes
Please note: library staff cannot guarantee printing at all times – particularly at the time of closing of the library. Customers should arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the library’s closing in order to help ensure sufficient time for the printing of Cultural Access Passes. The library’s computers shut down automatically at closing time and staff are unable to reboot them to print passes. Customers coming to the library and requesting multiple CAP passes especially should arrive earlier to help ensure that all passes will be printed in a timely fashion.
