We are excited to announce that the Multiple Myeloma March in Mississauga will take place on Sunday September 23rd, 2012. This year’s event, organized by Myeloma Canada and the Mississauga Multiple Myeloma March Team, will build on last year’s national success and help further patient programs and advance research to improve the lives of myeloma patients. Our fundraising objective this year is $50,000 and we are seeking your support to help us make myeloma matter and help advance our search for the cure. The 5 km March will leave from the Meadowvale Community Centre at 10:00 a.m. and continue around Lake Aquitaine Park. Myeloma is a rare cancer of the bone marrow affecting the production of red cells, white cells and platelets, and can lead to anemia, infections, renal failure, bone damage and pain. Every day, seven more Canadians are diagnosed with this incurable cancer.
