How to File a Claim
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Property Damage - My property has flooded. What should I do?
Answer
If at all possible, separate the damaged items from non-damaged items. Contact your personal property insurance company, as you may have coverage for this loss. Alternatively, submit your claim in writing to the City's Risk Management unit using the "How to file a claim" procedure.

If the flooding originates from a storm sewer, contact the City's Transportation and Works 24/7 hotline at 905-615-3000.

If the flooding originates from a watermain or sanitary sewage system, contact the Region of Peel 24/7 hotline at 905-791-7800.
