Fire Prevention Week 2017

Fire Prevention Week is October 8 - 14, 2017 and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services is reminding residents that in a fire, seconds count.  That's why this year's Fire Prevention Week theme "Every Second Counts, Plan Two Ways Out" is so important. It reinforces why every household needs to have a home fire escape plan.

To support Fire Prevention Week, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services staff will be at various locations throughout the city to talk to residents about what they can do to keep their homes and families safe; full schedule below.

For additional information on fire prevention activities taking place throughout Mississauga, contact Mississauga's Fire Prevention and Life Safety office at 905-896-5908 or via email at fire.prevention@mississauga.ca.

Also, be sure to follow @MississaugaFES on Twitter for fire prevention tips all year long.
