Fire Prevention Week is October 7 - 13, 2018 and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services is reminding residents to look, listen and learn. That's why this year's Fire Prevention Week theme "Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere" is so important. This theme educates about three basic, but essential steps to take to reduce the likelihood of having a fire and how to escape safely. "Look" for places fire could start. "Listen" for the sound of the smoke alarm. "Learn" two ways out of every room.
To support Fire Prevention Week, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services staff will be at various locations throughout the city to talk to residents about what they can do to keep their homes and families safe; full schedule below.
