Description: A view of the shoreline of A. E. Crookes Park, 855 Goodwin Road. The park was originally a 6 acre neighbourhood sports facility. It was named after Albert Crookes, a local businessman and community volunteer. In 1971 the firm of Crysler & Lathem, consulting engineers, was retained by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority to prepare a plan for the development of the Mississauga waterfront sector of the Metropolitan Toronto Planning Area. A. E. Crookes Park was one of the areas they covered. |
