Lakeview Gallery

This residential area was originally a farming community, settled in the early 1800s by families such as the Cawthras, Shaws, Lynds, Cavens and Ogdens. The Ontario Rifle Association opened a rifle range in Lakeview and after the First World War more and more people settled there as land was less expensive. During the Second World War the Small Arms Company opened a factory there, which was used after the war by various other industries.
