Planned Giving

Leave a Bookmark in Your Community...
Unplanned gifts are always welcomed, but a well planned gift can often be more effective, for both the donor and for the Library.

A planned gift is a charitable donation that you plan for now, but that is not received by the Library until later. It is a very personal statement about your values and your community. Planned giving provides a way for you to truly make the gift of a lifetime.

You can discuss any gifting arrangement with your professional advisors in order to make the best decision for your estate and financial plans or you can contact the Library about future priorities and needs. We welcome the opportunity to discuss the many gift planning opportunities with you (or your advisor) in confidence.

There are many types of planned charitable gifts from modest to substantial - bequests, gifts of life insurance, stocks and properties, valuable possessions, charitable remainder trust, donations to the Friends of the Mississauga Library System Trust Fund, and the Library's In Memoriam program. Tax receipts are issued.

To discuss these options for your estate planning contact the Library at 905-615-3200 ext.3606 to speak to the Community Development Officer or, email the Library at: library.info@mississauga.ca
