The 2012 Residential Directory includes information on development that is built, under construction or for which a building permit was issued as of September 30, 2011.

The directory is comprised of three open data components:

1. An inventory of sites of the following building types: apartments, townhouses, plexes, residential institutional buildings, cluster detached and other building types available in PDF format.  A user’s guide of how to use this directory is also included in this document.

2. The second component is a KML file that displays the buildings, centres, and townhouses with associated attributes.  The KML file can be loaded into various Mapping/GIS packages (such as Google Earth, ESRI ArcExplorer, etc) for viewing, printing or analysis.

3. The third component is a CSV file that contains the centres, complexes and buildings data in a tabular format, and can be opened in most spreadsheet and database software applications.
