Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

What happens if I choose not to pay my Ticket at all?
Answer
If you decide not to pay your ticket within ten business days, then the City of Mississauga will send you a notice reminding you of the outstanding amount due. After this, if you do not submit payment or request a trial date by completing, in person, a Notice of Intention to Appear, you will be automatically convicted by the Courts and your fine if unpaid, will be registered with the Ministry of Transportation. When you go to renew your licence plate sticker, the outstanding balance will be due. For example, a parking ticket with a fine of $20.00 will become a $61.00 fine payable at the Ministry.
