Parks Development

The City of Mississauga's Park Development department are responsible to develop or redevelop parks and associated park facilities. Park Development is proud to be building great places in Mississauga including Waterfront Parks, Urban Parks, Sports Facilities, Trail Systems, Bridges, Playgrounds, Skateboard Parks, and many maintenance neighborhood projects which strengthen communities.

Development Section staff are responsible for:

  • Park development and re-development including spray pads, skateboard parks playgrounds and bridges
  • Multi-use Recreational Trail Program
  • Shoreline protection of parkland
  • Streetscape
  • New parking lots in parks
