Description: In 1971 the firm of Crysler & Lathem, consulting engineers, was retained by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority to prepare a plan for the development of the Mississauga waterfront sector of the Metropolitan Toronto Planning Area. This area included the Cooksville Creek watershed, which adjoins the Etobicoke Creek watershed to the north and the Credit River watershed to the south. The main branch of the creek originates north of Highway 401 and travels in a southeasterly diection of about 15 kilometres before entering into Lake Ontario.
