Description: To the east of Lorne Park Estates is Richard's Memorial Park, formerly Stoney Bay Park. This park was renamed in 1973 for Richard Wolniewicz, a 14 year old boy, who died in an accident and whose heart was given to Mayor Robert Speck who underwent a heart transplant. The plaque reads as follows: "This park is named in memory of Richard Wolniewicz, a fourteen year old Metropolitan Toronto boy, whose heart was donated in December 1971 to the late Robert W. Speck, Mayor of the Town of Mississauga. Richard's family will also be remembered for the kindness and concern shown by them to Mayor Speck in their decision. Town of Mississauga, June 1973."
