What happens if there are construction damages on City property due to the pool construction?
Should damages occur, the work to repair these damages will be carried out by the City; however, the Homeowner who is installing the pool is responsible for the cost of the repair. The City's cost of repairing the damages will be subtracted from the Municipal Services Protection Deposit. If the cost is greater than the deposit, the customer will be responsible for reimbursing the difference to the City. Alternatively, the Homeowner may choose to have a City-approved contractor do the necessary rectifications, but he or she must notify the Technical Services Section at 905-615-3200 ext. 3038 at least 48 hours prior to such repair.
