Description: 41 Bay Street, Plan 300W, Lot 6. This is an L-shaped one-and-a-half storey structure, built by Alexander M. MacGregor in the early 1850s. Title to the property passed from Alexander McGregor to Joseph Thompson, a tailor, in 1882. The house passed to Etta Pearson, the daughter of Joseph Thompson, and her husband, William Alfred Pearson. Etta Pearson claimed that Joseph Thompson and his wife, Victoria Grafton, remodelled the house in 1900. The house, which is first illustrated in the 1910 fire insurance plan, is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and located within the Old Port Credit Village Heritage District.
