Description: 29 Mississauga Road South. Plan 300W, pt. Lots 11, 12. This small, five-bay frame house consists of wooden siding and a medium-pitch gable that is covered with asphalt shingles. The historian Verna Mae Weeks states that William Chandler built a house next door to his father Ellis's. She also described William's occupation as chief brick burner at the brickyard across the street and later as chief of the kilns at the Cooksville Brick Yard. The land title records William E. Chandler in possession of the property in 1914. The house is first illustrated on the 1928 fire insurance plan. It is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act and is located within the Old Port Credit Village Heritage Conservation District.
