Description: Cutting ice on the Streetsville P.U.C. dam, ca 1910. Muriel Graydon in the white sweater; Ena Graydon with white hat; William Clipperton with the ice tongs at the left. Muriel Graydon was born May 23, 1893. She married Eugene Redick December 4, 1915 at Trinity Anglican Church in Streetsville. She died November 21, 1974. Ena Graydon was born September 7, 1887 in Streetsville. She married William Henry Clipperton in 1911. He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in 1916 and died of wounds received at Hill 70 in France in 1917. They had two children, Graydon William Clipperton (1912-1978) and a daughter Muriel, who died at age five. Ena remarried in 1926 to Wilfred Norman Atkinson. The photo is from a slide presentation made by Graydon Clipperton to the Streetsville Historical Society at the Streetsville Public Library in 1972 and donated to the library in 1973.
