Spring Session 2009

Mother Daughter Tea
Mothers and daughters of all ages will delight in each others’ company while taking tea and creating a lovely spring basket filled with preserved and dried spring flowers. (Please note: One fee covers two people. Only the mother or the daughter needs to complete a registration form.) Supplies can be purchased from the instructor for approximate cost of $35.00.

Cooking Sweets and Sours For The Pantry
Discover what early settlers grew and how they preserved their produce as ‘sweets’-jams and jellies and ‘sours’-pickles and savouries. Make one of each type from locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables using modern canning methods. This session will feature rhubarb and asparagus. Materials can be purchased from the instructor at an approximate cost of $10.00.
