Census Update

These brochures use Census data to profile Mississauga population and dwelling counts, family structure, marital status, age groups, immigration and language, ethnic origin and visible minorities, religion, labour force activities, level of education, earnings, income, occupied private dwellings, household characteristics and housing costs.  These brochures are based on data from the 2001 and 2006 census.

2006 - No. 1: Population and Dwelling Counts                             
On March 13, 2007, Statistics Canada released the first of series of announcements on the 2006 Census of Canada, which was conducted on May 16, 2006.  Population and dwelling information, with a focus on Mississauga, are contained in this newsletter.

2006 - No. 2: Age and Sex                                                              
On July 17, 2007, Statistics Canada released the second of series of announcements from the 2006 Census of Canada, which was conducted on May 16, 2006.  Data regarding age and sex, with a focus on the City of Mississauga, are contained in this newsletter.

2006 - No. 3: Marital Status, Households, Families and Housing
On September 12, 2006, Statistics Canada released the third of series of announcements from the 2006 Census of Canada, which was conducted on May 16, 2006.  Data regarding marital status, household and family characteristics and housing age,condition, type and tenure, with a focus on the City of Mississauga, are contained in this newsletter.

2006 - No. 4: Language, Mobility, Migration, Immigration and Citizenship                         
On December 4, 2007 Statistics Canada released the fourth of a series of announcements from the 2006 Census of Canada, which was conducted on May 16,2006.  Data regarding language, mobility patterns and immigration, with a focus on the City of Mississauga, are contained in three separate newsletters.
