Drive Slowly . . . Think of Us

A Neighbourhood Entrance Sign with the message "DRIVE SLOWLY . . . THINK OF US" has been developed to remind motorists to adjust their driving habits, particularly vehicle speed, when they enter a residential area.

Many motorists don't intend to exceed the speed limit on local streets, but do so after driving at higher speeds in a different mindset on major roads.

In order for the City to install a Neighbourhood Entrance Sign at a proposed location, two conditions must be met:

• The location occurs where a local or minor collector residential street intersects with a major roadway
• The requester participates in the Neighbourhood Speed Watch Program to help raise awareness about vehicle operating speeds in their area
