Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

What technology does the City use to assist with snow clearing?
Answer
The City has outfitted all salt and plow vehicles, sidewalk equipment, and bus stop clearing crews with GPS units to monitor their locations. We also have two anti-icing trucks and two pre-wetting trucks that are deployed during the season. All our salt trucks have electronic spreader controls. The City uses treated salt instead of sand mix for secondary roads, sidewalks and bus stops.
