Description: Bill Evans and his mother Gertrude stand in front of their Aeronca Chief. Gertrude Evans won the aircraft in a raffle sponsored by the Peterborough Airport. Bill Evans was a graduate of the Brampton Flying Club and a licensed pilot. He used the plane to commute between Streetsville and his work at the CPR Roundhouse in Toronto, landing at the Toronto Island Airport and on a field in the area of Vista Heights, Streetsville.
