Description: 272-274 Victoria Street. Plan STR, 4, pt. Lot 6, 8, BLK 2. This was originally a single house, built in Regency style, probably with a verandah across the front and both sides. The French windows at the front and sides are identical to those at no. 13 Thomas Street. The house was built about 1840 for Adam Simpson, Clerk of the Division Court. It was converted to a double house after 1884. It is a one-and-a-half storey structure with a peaked gable, white siding and Credit Valley stone foundation. It is listed on the Heritage Register.
